In this edition, the jury has decided to award the madri+d 2009 Prize to the Best Technology-based Company’s Business Plan to AlgaEnergy, developer of products associated to the production of microalgae for various uses such as the feeding of larvae in aquaculture, the production of carotenoids, biofuels or CO2 abatement.
AlgaEnergy is already designing and building a first microalgae cultivation plant equipped with high performance photobioreactors.
