The companies AlgaEnergy and Iberdrola will launch this initiative in Arcos de la Frontera (Cadiz). The facility will serve for the cultivation of microalgae on an industrial scale, through the technology of fixation of carbon dioxide and the subsequent exploitation of the biomass obtained.
This initiative involves, in addition, the engineering company Exeleria, the universities of Seville and Almeria, the Andalusian Energy Agency and the biotechnology Cluster of Madrid Network.
