AlgaEnergy leads the CO2Algaefix project and will build an industrial plant for microalgae production adjacent to the combined cycle plant of IBERDROLA in Arcos de la Frontera, which will take more than 200 tons of CO2 per year. The project aims to “develop industrial scale technology for the production of biofuels and other products from microalgae that contribute to CO2 fixation.”
Iberdrola has closed 2011 with an economic impact in Andalusia of €170 million and confirms that its investee company, AlgaEnergy, is carrying out important initiatives in the Andalusian region
